The Sheraton Carlsbad Ranch Resort is a hotel and restaurant situated on more than 12 acres in the coastal neighborhood of Carlsbad in San Diego’s North County. This project was completed in two phases. Phase I included the 129-room Hotel Building 1 and a resort building that houses convention facilities, a restaurant, and the Ocean Pearl Spa. Phase II added the 121-room Hotel Building 2. The work also included an 18,692 SF parking garage with 42 spaces. BIM was used extensively during this project, particularly to assist in coordinating the light-gauge structural systems.
